Since falling in love with sailing I’ve logged over 60,000 nautical miles with an Atlantic Ocean crossing as a delivery Captain, an Expedition Captain for Greenpeace, and as a Charter Boat Captain in both South Africa and the Caribbean. My experience also includes substantial coastal cruising, navigating the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Intercoastal Waterway. My teaching style is calm, with an emphasis on helping you build confidence and competence in a progressive manner. Paired with my varied experience on different types of mono-hulls, catamarans, and power boats, in varied weather conditions, lends to a detailed understanding of the art and science of sailing and boat handling.
